How to bleed air from funace
My mother is complaning that she has no heat on the second floor of the house. My brother said that he could here air in the pipe. I guess it was banging? He added water and it works sometimes. How do I bleed the air from the system. The first floor has plenty of heat.
The funace and is about 30 years old and is natural gas. It is baseboard hot water and only heats the house and is not used for hot water in the house. There are 2 zones.
A little history. About 20 years ago the pipes froze on the second floor of the house after that was fixed my father had a plumber put anti-freeze in the system. About 10 years ago one of the zone valves was replaced and about 3 years about the burst valve was replaced. It was never bleed after each of those were replaced.

Is this valve on the first elbow on the second floor were the water enters the second floor or the last elbow were the water returns to the basement?
This is baseboard that runs along all the outside walls.

Ed Imeduc, you I can bleed them. I'm a little confused I don't have those big radiator. They a Slant Fin base board. Copper pipe with tin fins. The base board runs along the outside walls of the house. Most of the go thru the wall from room to room. It first room to heat is the Main bath then goes thru the other bath and the 4 bedrooms then back to the furnace.
