Exclamation No power to transformer from the controller???

System: Weil-McLain
Oil burner not firing,,, the blower runs, the selonid releases,, good oil flow... no spark.

My first though was the transformer... to confirm I put my meter on the power leads that run from the controller to ht e transformer and let the system cycle to lock up. There is never any current fed to the transformer.

Is this a controller issue?
I also tested the photocell and the meter puts it within speck both daylight and dark.

If this is a controller issue... should I consider it a symptom of a larger electrical problem? The burner is about 4 years old.

PS... I confirmed the wiring and it is correct all good contacts, etc.

I dont know what control you have there . But you say you get blower or the motor comes on but no transformer. Check the control there and see if its not a intermittent one that turn the motor and transformer on then drop the transformer off. this sounds what you have . If you are up to it till you get a new control. Tie the transformer over on to the motor relay. lots of units run that way called constant ignition.
