water from plug

Angry water from plug

Hello

I have got water seeping from the bleed plug on the top of my rad. What it needs taking out put ptfe on and put back in. How do i do this without getting water everywhere. i.e what valves to close etc.

Need more info on just what you have there. How high is the R/D above the boiler? Do you have a bleeder right on theR/D there?

Angry seeping water

My rad thats seeping is down stairs with the boiler thanks john

Ok If you have the new part there and ready to put it in turn the power off to the boiler. next the water to the auto fill. now drain the boiler down till it is 0 psi on it. Take the old part out,, fast put the new part in. turn the water on to the auto fill and bleede every thing then turn the power back on on the boiler.
