Can I replace a blast tube and blast chamber myself?

I got a price on a new blast chamber and blast tube from these heating guys. I have a carlin gun and a peerless J04 or something steam boiler. These guys want to charge me 425.00 to do this work. .Well I priced out the parts at the local supply shop and they are under a hundred dollars. how hard is it to replace a blast chamber and tube? I'm a liscenced contractor so i have some general knowledge. thanks to anyone who can help..

Replacing the burner air tube & combustion chamber is USUALLY not a major job. The big IF in the whole job is the possibility of bolts or studs snapping off. Best case: +/- 2hrs. Worst case: new boiler because the cast iron cracked. The service company is probably figuring on an "average" job. I don't think the quoted price is out of line.
