Question The Great Flood

My sister and I purchased a log home. The recirculator piece went out on the boiler. The hot water heater kept heating up the water and drained our propane tank. Then the pipes froze. Needless to say, we have quite the mess. The ins. co will pay for a new boiler to replace the one from 1983. It's a Burnham, I think.

The log home is 4500 sf and is 1 1/2 stories. There are 6 zones. The home is located at about 9000 ft. in CO.

What size boiler do you think would be appropriate given the information above. We'd like to lose the hot water tank if possible. Thanks.

Boiler Size

There is not nearly enough information given to even make a reasonable guess as to the size of the boiler needed. A manual J needs to be run & the boiler sized accordingly.

Wink

Get 3 bids for the job and make sure they run a heat loss on the home.
