Info about intalling H/W base board heat

Can anyone point me to where I can find info about how many heating elements (coils) to put in a room for hot water base board heat. To many and its to hot,or of course to few and it's a bit chilly. This is a two story house. I will be using copper pipe.

Baseboard Estimate

BOB1934:

It's difficult to give a quick answer to your question because each structure is unique in the amount of heat it loses to the outside, depending on the amount of insulation, windows, etc.; a "heat loss calculation" is therefore done to calculate this, along with considering the amount of btu's at which the boiler/furnace is rated.

Consult the previous post entitled "Need help Calculating heat Needed" for further info.
