Short cycling
Is there any kind of diagnostic light on the contol? If there is, what code is it blinking?
Not being familiar with this boiler, my initial reaction would be a flame sensing problem. Presuming there is a flame rod, remove it & clean with scotch brite or fine steel wool, re-install & let us know the results. Draft could also be shutting the burner down. Check the exhaust for restriction. Also check any hoses for water or cracks.

No diagnostic light on control, only lights on Panel are green when boiler is working and a red one when on lock out. The Boiler is a Icon 28T I understand these are made by Hepworths/Gloworm for local plumbing merchants Travis Perkins, this is 3yrs old in Dec next. I have removed, cleaned and refitted flame rod, checked exhaust for restriction, checked hoses etc for water and cracks, but to no avail, still have same fault. Anything further you can think of - is it possible the flame rod is faulty !!!

Flame Rod
It's not likely the flame rod itself is at fault. The only bad one I've ever seen was actually broken. The fact the boiler actually fires for 5-6 seconds before dropping out makes it tough. If you have a volt meter & are comfortable using it, you could start chasing voltage using the wiring diagram as a guide, otherwise I'm out of ideas, sorry.
One thing you can do is check the pressure switch(es) by jumpering them as soon as the boiler fires. THIS IS FOR TESTING ONLY. If there is room to get voltmeter probes on without removing the wires you can do this instead.

Not sure if I replied properly so will reply again, I have just had the same problem. 10-15 secs run then shut down, It was found to be a blocked air flow on the flue (it needs full air flow and return) to allow the flame to continue, hope this works for you, it did for me, good luck.
