I worked on an ice maker today, the dump valve had been leaking for sometime, now that it's repair I have a problem with calcium build up that you would not beleive, what is the best way to remove the build up?
In your profession I know you guys come across with calcium problems., what is your take on it..
Thanks

Wink

Try Nu-Calgon ice machine cleaner. Dont forget anything you use there has to be "food grade" in the ice machine.Might also look into Calgon they have a micromet feeder for the ice machines. Can also go on the big coffee brewers.

I use a cleaner that I run through the system, it's sold to us from Manitowoc direct, it's safe to use, I really like the results, but I need something to remove the calcium build up which is on all part due to a leaking dump valve which I repaired, the build up as I said it everywhere.
Will Nu-Calgon remove the build up on the parts?, would I spray it on the parts or do you just run it through the system?

Thanks
