Old HB Smith Cast Iron Oil Boiler Access Door

I Have an old HB Smith Cast Iron Oil Boiler 164.
It has 3 access doors arranged like a face (two eyes and a mouth).
I can open the botton (mouth) door and access the botton of the boiler.

I cannot open the top (eyes) doors. They move a fraction of an inch up, down and sideways, so they are not frozen.
They each have a knob, the size and shape of a door knob on the top center.
Is there a trick to opening these doors?
I need help from anyone who is familiar with this problem.
Thanks Frank

If yours is the boiler I think it is, you have to unscrew the knobs. They hold the doors on.

I think Grady is right. They are the doors we open to clean flues and put firebricks in to baffle flue gasses when using oil instead of coal to fuel that boiler.
