Leaking boiler valves
Gas Boiler for baseboard heating is leaking from multiple valves. I need to have the old ones removed and replace.
Watts 9D-M3 Backflow Preventer (Leaking)
Watts 1156F Feed Water Regulator
Honeywell FV180 Hydronic Air Vent 18 NPT (Leaking)
Amtrol ET-30 Extrol 4.4 Gallon Expansion Tank
Watts 335 Boiler Relief Valve (Leaking)
I got all new parts, except the Watts 1156F Feed Water Regulator. I found a B1156F, and found out it stands for bronze inlet, instead of the normal iron inlet. My old one is just 1156F, iron, could I use a B1156F, bronze? Or will that cause problems? I forgot to ask the plumber when he came to give a estimate.
He gave an estimate of $670, to replace all the parts above, (I provide the parts), and to drain, refill, and purge the system. Does this seem reasonable to you? I live in Northeast, NJ. Thanks.

Bronze vs. iron
I prefer bronze. More expensive but worth every penny.
Can't judge price. Prices vary widely. Even at $100/hr that is almost a full day. Unless he is going to have to replace steel pipe, that sounds like a long time.
