Main Zone Not Heating in new home

I just moved into an old house, over 150 years old. large house with 2 Hydronic multi zone systems. on the west furnace, the main zone, that includes the thermostat doesn't heat up. no water flow.

there are no zone controls in the system.

I thought that the old gate ( globe ) valves might be the problem, so I cut out the section of pipe in front of the valve, but still have no water flow.

I replaced it with a ball valve.

The other 3 zones work great, and I'm stumped, I'm thinking about cutting the zone into 2 parts to try to localize the blockage. this zone is the lower front bedroom and the upper kitchen heat run

Thanks, BandAide

Zone problem

Does the circulator run? How is the boiler pressure? With the balance of the system working ok, I have to believe there is air in that part unless there is some kind of blockage (unseen valve?).
