water useage in steam boiler
I have just installed a utica 3 section steam boiler It seems I have to add some water every couple days say from a liitle below middle of sight glass to fill line. A little above middle of glass. Is this a normal amount probably few gallons. my old weil mclein did not seem to need water as often.

Water usage
There is likely a difference in the water volume in the two boilers. The old one probably held a lot more water. Without knowing the two, this is speculation but a common occurence.
