oil or grease leaking from pump motor

ok there is a pipe coming out of furnace which is connected to a part which is connected to the end on the pump motor that the circulator coupling is housed in. Oil is leaking where these two are connected. does anyone know what I am talking about? If so what would be causing the oil to leak? Is this serious and could I fix this myself?

Circ leaking oil

If you recently oiled it, you probably put in too much oil. If this is a B&G or Armstrong circulator you can likely remove the square plate to which the oil port is attached. If the oil in there looks milky, it's time for a new bearing assembly.
