Domestic hot water heating using oil
My daughter has oil fired hot water baseboard heat. She has ( or had ) a separate oil fired hot water tank. She has contacted her oil distributor and he is coming out to see what she needs. They are a family of 2 adults and 4 kids living in Connecticut. He has mentioned an indirect hot water heater.
Is indirect hot water the proper replacement? What questions should she ask? She and I are quickly doing all the research we can so she can make the proper choice.
Information or links to sites for more information would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

An indirect in most cases would server her well. One thing to keep in mind is an indirect will not porduce hot water as fast as a direct oil fired water heater. Almost all boiler manufacturers sell indirects.
