Exclamation air in heating sys please help this damsel lol

Hi all,

I had my heating system bled about 2 yrs ago. I have water/air running thru again. I have 2 zones. Near the tank/valve area there are two spigots. Should I open these one at a time to let air out, with the heat off. I don't want to pay if I can do it myself. The man that did it before showed me but i cannot remember. do I need to put a hose on the spigots???

Purging air

Near the spigots there should also be shut off valves, make sure those valves are shut & purge the air as you said except I prefer to do it with the heat on for the zone I am purging. The heat on or off does not make much difference unless you have electric zone valves. If you do, the heat must be on for the zone you are purging. Yes, you should hook a hose to the spigot.

Air in system

Grady thank you for the help. I have of course two valves one for each spigot. I will do each one seperately and close the valve first then reopen when I am done.

Thanks Again
Kriola
