Leaking B&G pump
Help. I have a Bell and Gossett series 100 pump for our hotwater base board heat. The spring on the copuling broke so I replaced it. As soon as I turned the pump back on it started leaking. I then replaced the seal. It is leaking more now than before. When you let water back into it it just flows back out ? any ideas? Coulld it be the pump?
Thank you so much for the input.. I just ordered a new taco 007 ..

The coincidence is a little odd that you had a broken coupler and an issue inside the bearing assembly at the same time.
You could buy an entire bearing assembly... or just bite the bullet and replace the entire pump. If you were gonna replace the pump though, consider going with a Taco 007. Much cheaper and no oiling, and less power usage. It is slightly wider so make sure you have room to accomadate it so u dont have to mess with the flanges.

I agree with George...Dump that antique and get a maintenance free Taco 007. It is a drop-in replacement for the 100, and costs FAR less than even the parts to fix your pump.

B&G pumps usually run forever but when the seal goes it is time to either install a new bearing/pump assembly or replace the entire pump. I have never had any luck in just replacing the seal.
