one zone not working

When I turn up the thermostat for zone one and then go down to the boiler in the basement. There are 3 zones each zone has a little box with a transformer in it. On the zone that is not working the box with the transformer will just humm. Help I cannot seem to find anyone that has the time to work on it.

Zone problem

Those boxes are likely switching relays. There should be 120 volts coming in (usually terminal #1). You should have 24 volts between the terminals to which the thermostat wires connect. When the thermostat calls for heat, the relay should pull in & send 120 volts to the circulator via termal #3 (usually).
