Question need info on hot water baseboard system

i am thinking of installing a boiler and hot water baseboard system in my home. I am hoping to find some info as to make my decision easier. Does anyone know if the baseboard system has to be run in series, or is it alright to run it in parallel with a tap at each inlet to control flow individually? Also, does it have to be copper tubing, or can that plastic pipe i have seen for infloor heating be used? Any info would be appreciated before i get serious about it! Thanks.

Boiler/baseboard

The very first thing you need to do, if you have not done so already, is a proper heat loss calculation to determine how much heat you need.
