Banging Pipes Baseboard Radiators

we just moved in to an older house. The pipes bang when the boiler turns on to our hot water heat system. We've got baseboard radiators. I'm sure the problem is that the pipes are rubbing the floor and the wall as they pass through, but I can't really get at them to enlarge the hole.

Anyone have any tips or tricks to enlarging the hole so the pipes don't bang? Too many sleepless nights!

If you can sleeve the pipes with a plastic piping sleeve (try the local plumbing supply house) that would work.

Spray silicone lubricant can also work.

Enlarging the holes without damaging the pipe can be tough.
