Question Some hot, some cold

Up until a few days ago, all of my lower level radiators were working. Now only one gets hot and the other gets warm. The remaining two are cold. What gives? Since I'm not sure what type of system I have, I'll describe. Hot water heating, I'm sure. But there doesn't appear to be bleed valves on my radiators. The ones I see are too smal for the bleed key. Nothing happens when I try to bleed them. By the way, none of the 2nd level (upstairs) radiators get warm. I've called a plumber. However, is there anything I can do at home to avoid a costly expense?

Radiator bleed valves

The valves could be plugged with paint. Use a straight pin up thru the little spout.
