No Heat

Have a Weil-McClain WG0-5 boiler.
3 circulators - 1st floor, 2nf flr and priority to 50 gallon indirect water heater.
when calling for heat on 2nd floor (bedroom area) - heats perfectly
when calling for heat on 1st floor - main living area, tempature does not satisify the thermoastate setting, however cirulator stays on. Rooms are cold. when temp outside is in 40+ degrees all seems ok - when it is currently at this low temp of 15 - 20 degrees heating system does not work for the 1st floor. Previous smaller boiler no problem with zone values instead of circulators.

Do I understand that this is a new system ? New enough to get the installer in to look at it (warranty?)

Sounds like you have air in the system.

Why did they install a larger system ?

Larger boiler was installed for future expansion
air should not be problem because it would go to the second floor as air rises
air scoup and extrol #30 on the system in addition, no knocking or girgerling in the system to signfy that air is an issue

Zone problem

If the contractor used the circulators with internal flow checks, it takes very little air to stop them. Is the circulator running?

the boiler goes off when temp is acheived, however the circulator just keeps running but it is not satisfying the heat requested on that floor

No heat-first floor

Do the pipes get hot? If not, I still suspect air. Do you know how to purge the system?
