Burnham Oil boiler question

I've got a Model 74 Burnham Oil fired Hot water boiler and my Baseboard system is making some noises like indigestion. Doesn't sound like water hammer, just like water draining throughout system. Any ideas?

Sounds like you've got air in the system.

First, read the pressure gauge on the boiler and tell us what it says.

(pressure and temperature)

OK, for starters, that pressure is a bit low.

Can you identify the fill valve for the boiler ? You need to add a little water first, the pressure should be at least 12 PSI, then you need to bleed the air out of the system.

If you can take some digital pics, you can host them on photobucket.com and provide links here. It will help if we can see the system...
