Question Oil Tank question

When we moved our new home had a full tank of oil which we paid the sellers for. It has lasted since Nov. Now that we need a delivery; the oil companies we are calling ( even the one who delivered here to the old owners) say they need to inspect the tank before filling it with #1 (outside tank). It is super cold and I am afraid of running out before they come on thursday....my fault, I should have planned sooner. I have gathered four 5 gl BLUE kero tanks. Can I go fill those with diesel just to get me by until my FRIENDLY grrrrr.....company comes out to inspect my tank? I'd hate to have to change the nozzle and filter so quickly since it was done in June '06.
THANKS SO MUCH!

Bob, you didn't have the tank inspected before you signed the dotted line? If so, why won't the oil company accept that ?

Tank

You can use either Diesel or Kero without problem. Before dumping the 20 gallons in the tank, shut the heater off at the emergency switch. After adding the fuel, give things at least 1/2 hr to settle down. You should be fine.
