Boiler problem - Hot water demand light stays on

I have a Glow Worm Compact combi-boiler. After opening a hot water tap and then turning it back off, the hot water "demand" light on the boiler panel still stays on. The central heating will not turn back on until the hot water demand light goes off, which is obviously not ideal.

For some reason, it appears the only way to get the hot water light to turn off is to turn a cold water tap on/off momentarily.

Any ideas?

Thanks

The whole idea of having ti set up so the furnace won't heat the house while you are using hot water is to make sure the domestic hot water doesn't get cold. Once it gets back up to the operating temp, the house will get heated again. I've never seen that boiler before but there *might* be a switch to turn off that option. Its probably coincidence that the furnace turns back on when you switch on the cold water for a second.
