Old Hydrotherm

I have a Hydrotherm boiler HWBB 2 zone in my shore house, It have 2 zones. First the zone valves are made by honeywell 4 wire. I need to rewire them because when they were installed 30 + yrs. ago they were wired 110v not 24v. I want to wire the zone valves and the relay low voltage. Also on a cold day it take the boiler a long time to come up to temp (1hour,1300 sf. house), is that normal. Also a plumber told me my flame was too high and needed ajustment, so I replaced the burners and ajuststed the flame from the gas valve, it is alittle below the bottom of the jackets,,, correct? I think the unit is 80,000 btu but I am not for sure because the plate is missing. Thanks!!!!

Zone Valves

In order to change from line to low voltage, the power head would have to be replaced. Without the proper test equipment, you should not be trying to adjust the burners. You could be making massive amounts of carbon monoxide without knowing it.

Grady, The zone valve say the can be wired either 24v or 110v, also the boiler is in a detached 10'x8' mechanical room, the gas co. came in to check it after the ajustment was made and said the levels were acceptible for the age of the unit.
