Ideal Isar HE30 problem

Hi folks,

Just installed one of these boilers in my flat. It WAS working, but isn't now.

I woke up and the boiler wasn't putting out hot water. I checked the pressure and it was a little low, so I put more water into it till it was around 1.5. I then switched it off and tried to switch it back on - it should have automatically started the ignition sequence but all I could hear was a faint repeating muffled ticking sound coming from inside the boiler... I'm getting no read out on the display.

However, when I switch the boiler off using the on/off switch the display and burner LED briefly light up.

Very strange problem, but it means I have no heating or hot water and it's BLOODY COLD

It's connected to a programmer, but that's working fine ... defo seems to be a problem with the boiler.

Anyone any idea what could be going wrong before I call someone out?

cheers,
iain

I am pretty sure Iain is from across the pond & is refering to a pressure of 1.5 bar.
