Taco 007 -f5 Circulator not working
Hi,
I have installed a new boiler(burnam p205) about 4 months ago. Now I am having problem with the Taco 007 Circulator Pump which came with the boiler.
It started giving trouble about a month ago. One morning I found out that we were not getting any heat the boiler was running however. This turns out to be the pump not working. I took it off and try to turn the cartridge manualy just to see if there is any movement. It was very tight. After a few turns it became loose and I put this pump back in and it started working again until today.
Same problem! I took the pump off and I found out that the cartridge is very tight. It is very hard to turn.
Is this a common problem with taco 007 -f5? What should I do? Should I repalce this pump? Please help!!

As Adam said, this is not a common problem with these circulators at all. The most common cause is a piece of solder or other debris getting jammed between the impeller & the circulator body. I too suggest replacing the circulator but before starting the new one, drain a few gallons of water from the bottom of the boiler.
