Hot Water Heat - Leaky Valve

Last night I turned the radiator valve and it started to leak. Since this perticular radiator is on the second floor I'm worried that the leak will damage ceiling on the first floor. How do I solve this problem without replacing the valve, or do I have to replace the entire valve? Any advise is appreciated.

Thank You

Most times you can just tighten the packing-nut slightly.
It`s located below the handle where the stem leaves the valve body itself.
Be careful though, don`t tighten any more than needed, and if there are many layers of paint on the receiving threads, try to clean this off first as the p-n itself may crack.
