Crown Oil Burner Fire Box

I need a new fire box for Crown Oil Burner. Don't know model. On the side, metal embossed numbers:
D.R.C.
DAT NO - 0 - 4
WF2 - 6mo2
What kind of fire box do I need, and where do I get one. Thank You, Tony

Crown Combustion Chamber

Sounds old. Your best bet is probably to measure the existing chamber & try to find one thru Patriot-Supply.com.

Pressure rises rapidly

Hopefully this is the right forum area... My setup is a wood burning furnace and an oil boiler hooked up to baseboard heating. I use the wood until it gets so cold that it can't heat my whole house anymore, then switch to the oil. The problem is that the wood furnace pressure gage started rising rapidly when I would start a fire in it. This caused the pressure release valve on the back of the oil furnace to go off (closed system, over 30psi). So what would cause the pressure in the wood furnace to rise so rapidly? Is there some sort of part inside that could be bad? The wood furnace is about 30 years old.Read More

Biasi Thermic Valve and P/S piping project--done!

Here's some photos of my finished DIY Biasi boiler install, which was started last year... Over the summer I added a TV valve for boiler protection, and also added P/S piping for the heating system. The system is monitored by Tekmar 260 outdoor reset controller. The electric water heater is temporary and was used for hotwater in the past--I'm going to move it and store it for future use as needed. The P/S piping allows using a boiler minimum well under 150 degrees, since the TV valve always keeps the return at 140 degrees or higher. So far it is working great. NOTE: this install was done under a building permit and inspected, and a modification of code was granted for the wood boiler emergency backup boiler.
