baseboard to rads

Was wandering if anyone has ever changed over from baseboard to radiators. Have three loop system, would like to change top loop, bedrooms to rads. Was wandering if anyone has done it and how much work was involved.

thanks,

joe

Joe,

just curious "baseboards" as in fin-tube in an enclosure, or are these the real McCoy Cast Iron baseboard units?

I suspect good cast iron radiators will be an improvement over the fin tube radiation. You should see a more consistent heat since the radiators have more volume and mass, and will keep releasing heat after the boiler stops running.

You will need to calculate the heat loss for those rooms to determine the amount of radiation needed to do the job.
