I have taken the past month to call 4 plumbers to replace the gas boiler in my house. I have narrowed the products down to a Viessman Vitodens 100 (with Superstor ultra indirect hot water heater) with outdoor reset or a Triange Tube Prestige (with a TT indirect hwh). Both seem like excellent products. The question is price and plumber. The Viessman would be installed by a experienced 'master' plumber who has been to Germany to train at the Viessman plant and installed many of these units. The TT Prestige would be installed by a 'journeyman' who has never installed the TT, or any wall hung gas boiler - only wall hung hwh. He's telling me they all install about the same, it's not a big deal. Their quotes are $4,000 apart. I was going to use that money to insulate my house. Is the Viessman/master plumber really worth that much more, given the products seem to cost about the same? I understand that the Viessman is a more complicated install. Or should I just keep looking? Thanks for your help!

My current Vaillant Boiler Model F70 W50 PP uses fuel oil. With prices near $4.00 per qallon I'd like to know if anyone can tell me if there is a natural gas conversion kit for this boiler. Has to be something here to help the pain of fuel oil prices. Thank you,
