Removing OLD radiator with only one valve
We are trying to put in floor tile and need to remove a radiator while we do so. It's a radiator from 1925, floor-mounted, and from what I can tell, there is only one valve. It seems as though we are missing the lockshield valve. Is there any way for us to isolate this one radiator to remove it or do we have to wait until summer when we can shut the boiler down? Can you shut a boiler off completely in the summer? Can you drain the water from a boiler or what is the best way to handle the situation? Thanks!
