auto fill valve

can anyone tell me if this 'feed water pressure regulator' is adjustable? is it that nut between the "bell" and the purge valve. Watts 1156F

Yes, it is adjustable.

You need to first remove the top piece that has the "quick fill" handle by turning it counter-clockwise. Remove the rod that you find inside the hollow threaded "stem" and don't lose it.

Then note the position of the slot in the top of the threaded stem and loosen the locknut at the lower end of the stem. Using a screwdriver (or a dime) turn the threaded stem clockwise to increase the pressure or counter-clockwise to reduce the pressure.

Once you achieve the desired pressure setting tighten the locknut while holding the threaded stem to prevent it moving. Replace the little rod and screw the cap and lever back in place.
