Effikal vent damper

I would like to replace my Effikal vent damper myself. The model# on damper is RVGP5BK. How difficult will this be and where can I find one? Also need to replace Grundfos circulator pump. Model# UP1542F. How difficult and where can I find?

Vent Damper/Circulator

I'm not familiar with that particular circulator nor could I find it on Grundfos' site. Could be an obsolete model & replaced by something else.

Usually the biggest problem in replacing a vent damper is it's compatability with the ignition control. I suggest you contact a dealer for your particular make of boiler & get the original equipment damper.

Grady, thanks for the reply. I found a circulator on pexsupply.com, Grundfos UP15-421F for $89.95. If I should contact the dealer for the vent damper I will check with them about the circulator also, then go from there.

Get the vent damper from the manufacturer of you boiler and it will not require re-wiring.

Circulator

Maybe a call to pexsupply is in order. They might be able to cross your circulator to a current model. Circulators are usually not something specific to a boiler manufacturer.
