tigerloop

I needed to have my line blown out for my oil burner although he didnt say what was cloggin it, the technician told me to put a tiger loop on . I looked it up online so now I have an idea of what it is. My question is this. How involved is this tigerloop to install yourself?

Clogged line

Simply installing a Tigerloop will not solve the problem. I presume you are drawing fuel from the bottom of the tank. If this is the case, you need to install a line inserted into the top of the tank. You should also replace the existing line feeding the burner. Here is a link to information about the Tigerloop. There is a link in there to a piping diagram.

I wonder if part of the Tech's plan was changing the current system from a two-pipe to a single pipe supply? Is the current setup a two-pipe system, or one pipe from the tank?
