System Design Question
Hi,
I'm designing a hydronic system for my 200+ year old house.
It's mostly HWBB with a space with a panel radiator, using a mod/con boiler and P/S piping. Using 1" for the primary piping and 3/4" for secondary. Question is, what are the rules on using zone valves or circs on the secondary loops. Also can they be mixed. A couple zones using valves and others using a circ pumps. Also I haven't found a panel radiator with 3/4" connections if I put this in series with an other convector/s should I run a by-pass under the panel radiator with a valve to get full flow to the other convector/s? I appreciate your thoughts, Thanks

Yes zone valves and circ's can be mixed on the same system. What size boiler with a primary pipe of 1"? Are you doing a loop or just the straight pipe idea? Maybe this will help
