Primary secondary piping, valve placement

I am piping a primary secondary system similar to http://www.comfort-calc.net/primary-..._tutorial.html drawing #4 with at least 2 boilers.
My question is where would the best place be for isolation valves between the primary and secondary loop?

I will be installing valves on both return and supply of each boiler.

I have seen on designs in 2 different locations, one being after the tees and before the boilers and I have seen them placed before and after the tees.

Keep them close to the tees on the secondary connections, not close to the boilers. Also have a purge valve near one of the valves on each boiler.
I would follow the manufacturers recommendations for the boiler being used. If they do not address it contact comfort-calc.net and they can clarify.
Also see the first drawing here as it is the best way to pipe multiple boilers
