Kick Space Heater Noise

I am getting a low hum or buzz noise from the kick space heater under my kitchen sink. Question: is it a cause for alarm or just a nusiance? Any remedy short of replacement ?
I was thinking of just disconnecting the power source. An drawbacks to that plan?

Is it making the noise when on or off? If only when on, it could just need cleaning. If when off, I'd disconnect it and cap the wires til you get it checked out or replaced.

If there's a 24 V transformer in there, it could be that making the buzzing noise. Sometimes a few well placed wooden wedges will quiet a noisy transformer. Transformers can and will 'buzz' from time to time and it doesn't necessarily mean they are 'bad' ... just annoying ...

But yeah, get it checked out and go from there ...

Your problem would be the coming from the shaded pole C frame blower motor, which is the only component besides the surface mounted stat that closes around 130 degrees.

These are available as a part but first check if an obstruction stopped it, if it turns or just needs cleaning.
