Hot water boiler keeps shutting off
Hi, I'm brand new to this site. Week ago, noticed no baseboard heat and checked boiler. Red light was blinking in the "brain box." Shut main power switch off on wall and restarted. Worked fine for 1 week. Last night did it again and is now doing it every 2 hours. Damper is fine, aquastat replaced last yr. Any ideas?

When was the last time the burner was tuned and the boiler cleaned? Oil filter and nozzle changed? The blinking red light probably means the burner is tripping of on safety, loss of flame...

Gas boilers have blinking red lights also.
There seems to be a problem with flame rectification or normal operation, time to have someone look at it.
Hint: if it is blinking a sequence of flashes, make note as this is usually a fault code, gives a tech a place to start.
