Boiler choices- Buderus, Slant Fin, Peerless

Hi. I'm a new (old) home owner. I've got some money left after closing and I want to upgrade my boiler. It's one zone with cast iron hot water radiators. I've received several quotes but the more I research the more confused I become! I've got quotes on installing a Slant Fin, a Peerless, and a Buderus. The quotes have all been for around 5200$. The Buderus was about 400 more than the other two. The guys that wants to install the Slant Fin said I should have a new stair stringer put it in the basement to support the weight of the boiler during install and disposal. That's gonna cost me extra and he's the only one that mentioned it. I've hear the Buderus boilers are great but they are harder to service. True?? Any input in my situation would be appreciated. Thanks

Boiler Brand

All of those manufacturers make good equipment. Model numbers would help. Is this gas or oil? Anybody do a heat loss calculation?
