no hot water

My boiler runs and heats normally. I have initial hot water then it rapidly goes away. My mixing valve seems to be operable. Is there a way to test the aquastat and could this be the problem?

Smack that drum and tell us a little more about your system.

Is it OK to assume that you are talking about the DOMESTIC hot water in your home that is produced from a coil in your heating boiler?

If so, those coils crud up over time with minerals from the water system... flow through them slows to a trickle, and of course the hot water goes away...

They CAN be boiled out with an acid solution, but this is NOT for a homeowner to perform...

Guessing, based on given info.
