Mike, I'm sure someone does!

Give us the model numbers of the valves... thermostats, etc ...

Tell us in more detail what you are trying to do.

the zone valves are white rodger 1311 zone valves the thermostats are compatable type for the 3 wire system the model on the boiler still working on but it is a weil mclain boiler about 8 years old the boiler control that operates the pump and the gas valve is just a standard fan control center that has two wires coming from y and g terminals when we wired it up the first time the valve would operate but the boiler would not fire where trying to do this with just one transformer but if needed i can install 2

Mike, how many zones are you wiring? You will use one 40 VA transformer for every 4 valves.

I did this drawing for another poster a while back, and it shows the hookup for 2 valves. The T T wires are the ones that would go to the Y G on the boiler control.

One note I'd like to add:

On those zone valves, terminals 2 and 5 are the same point, they are connected internally on the zone valve.

Let me know if any questions...

CGI wiring diagram

my only question is that if i unhook everything except for the boiler control i have 24 volts between y and g so do i need a second transformer for the zone valves or will it be ok with just one? there is two zones for heating and one for hot water but the hot water is a honeywell 2 wire valve im getting thrown off with the transformer placement and 24 volts at the y and g sorry if this sounds confusing but im great with standard two wire setups it just the three wire set up is confusing to me

You WILL see 24VAC on the open Y and G terminals... or almost any other aquastat for that matter. That's normal... BUT:

It does NOT mean that you can power zone valves from that source. SOME aquastats CAN power zone valves... but that control in your boiler can NOT. Don't even try!

You need one external transformer. I can add the Honeywell valve to the drawing to show ya how to hook that up along with the other two. One 40 VA transformer will work for two 1311's and one 8043 ...

Mike, which Honeywell valve? Terminal screws? or RED / YELLOW lead wires?

If when you say you need two transformers, you mean the one in the control in the boiler, and another one outside to power the valves, yes...
