flow check valve ... how involved to replace?

Hi - first time posting here; flow check valve keeps sticking, we have to bang it with a wrench to close. Our upstairs zone is stuck around 80 degrees.

How complicated is this valve to replace? I'm not going to try myself (am a novice), just wanted a rough idea for repairman.

Thanks!

(feels good)

Not enough info... it could be very simple or very difficult depending on what it takes to get it out of there. The body may need removal or just the guts.

What kind of piping is it? Is it sweated copper or twisted black iron? If black iron, is there a union or flange near it? You'll have to twist from there is replacing the whole body.
