'kung fu business'
I have an old Ideal Elan boiler (over 20 years old)
It just stopped working a few days ago. Out of fustration I hit it firmly
and it started to work for 3-4 hours.
Since than it only starts with a firm hit (!) and every time it stops it does not reignite on its own.
But I am fed up with this kung fu business.
do you have any idea what could that be....pressure switch ajustment, airfun ?
Meantime I am also looking for a a replacement boiler whithout rushing things,

I am not familiar with that boiler, but I would say you have some burnt contacts that need cleaning or a control replacement.
What part exactly are you hitting to get this to run?

Hi Mark,
Just outside casing...(not a gentle but a firm bang)!
I was sort of thinking about airfun or pressure switch but I will have a look into contacts...
thanks for your reply.
