Weil Mclain resetting...
I have a weil mclain P-WGO-3 boiler with QB-180 burner. It keeps locking it self and I have to reset it very often. I've replaced the ignition relay (R8184G) but it still trips often. Was service and cleaned prior to season. All the settings are set to what the manual states. HELP! I'm tired of getting up at night to cold house.
Thanks

Reset W/M
The causes of having to reset are numerous. Some of the most common are a weak ignition transformer, contamination of the nozzle, & a start switch in the burner motor going bad.
When you reset the burner does it fire right away? Is there any smoke or rumbling?

Have to reset
I'm wondering if you have a fuel supply problem. If this happens mostly at night when temps are lower & the burner has to run longer, it could be starving for fuel. You might want to check the fuel filter & pump screen. Maybe blow out the oil lines.

I have a Weil Mclean CGa5 gas with the same Identical problem. Sometimes it workes ok then all of a sudden it doesn't start. Went to take shower and the water started to get cold. It just didn't get the call for heat and everything checks ok Very strange

How are you getting it started? Are you hitting the red reset button?
Honeywell is having a some issues with version 6 controls in certain applications. The power switch needs to be turned off than on. I am not sure what otter issues it may have at this point. I would avoid using version 6 controls with a date code between 0801 - 0907.
The version number is the number laying on it's side when looking at the model # on the end of the control.
