Question Air Separator service

The documentation for my air separator indicates that the vent may be dissasembled for service. It is a Taco Vortech with a Taco #418 hy-vent. The hy-vent is leaking a steady drip. Is it possible to dissasemble and clean or should I just replace the hy-vent ? Where can I locate cleaning instructions? I checked the Taco site but did'nt find anything.

Personally, I just replace them, but his is the easiest model to try to repair. First try blowing off some water through the little valve on the top and see if that works. If not you will need to lower the water pressure in the boiler to 0psi and then you can unscrew the large top cover on the vent. Be careful not to lose or ruin the O-ring, then remove the float and cleanall the parts and re-install. Replace the water pressure and see if it worked. If not, replace the vent as recomended earlier.
