[url]http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh154/filthya3/boiler/buderus040901.jpg[/url] once the boiler water is hot, the "waterfall" noises abate. also, when the boiler is cold, pressure drops to zero. it seems to me that the loop should stay pressurized at 18-20 psi. after all, where could the pressure go? i could be wrong; i'm wrong a lot. furthermore, don't laugh at all of my duct tape and 90's on the vent. by the time i got through that flue, i was too tired to cut pipes.

Hello Guys. I have a old kool base residential hot water boiler. with four zones directly connected to re circulation pumps. The boiler is gas, with a standing piolet light w/ thermocouple and piolet saftey switch. Also a strap on aquastat-white rodgers. Now all t-stats are calling, all pumps engage. Piolet is lit. with the aquastat set at 180 I have no power across the aquastat terminals.So i know the srat is ok The saftey switch is down and holding, with the switch down i have 24volts at the gas valve but it will not light. I push down on the saftey switch and can hear what seems to be the gas valve solenoid clicking on off. but it refuses to fire. I turned the manual turn on on the bottom of the gas valve and it fires right up but of course it will not shut off unless you go downstais and turn it off by hand. Now also it seems that I have 24 volts at the gas valve, and also across the relay on the saftey switch at the same time. Shouldnt it be either 24volts at gas valve and not across the terminals, or across the terminals and not at the gas valve? Can it be a bad saftey switch, or tcouple? its driving me nuts. Thank you.
