zone valves: supply or return?

Do you have a preference?

I have a habit of putting them on supply but don't want to change the headers on a simple boiler replacement where they are on the return.
I don't see a problem, but it just seems odd since I never do it that way.
Thanks.

My preference is on the supply as it makes servicing easier with the piping layout to have everything in one area.
They can actually be installed on either supply or return. It does not matter to the manufacturers of the zone valves.

Thanks. I really don't want to redo the headers.
