How to disconnect aquastat ?
The hot water coil on my Trianco boiler is plugged up. I will install an electric water heater. How do I stop the boiler from turning on to make hot water. I have a Honeywell aquastat. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ! John

I would say, just remove the wires from the aquastat and wire nut them in the boiler.
I cannot tell you if it's going to be 24VAC or 120VAC so plan accordingly.
IE shut off the power.

Ummmm... I think he's asking how to convert a 'triple' aquastat into a 'single' cold start?
It's not something we should advise you to do... all about the UL listing of the a'stat, homeowners insurance, liability and litigation.
There is a way of course... but you would be better advised to pick up and install a new aquastat with cold start function.
What model aquastat is installed?
One caution to be noted... SOMETIMES when you convert an older boiler that has spent it's life as a warm start to a cold start, the boiler will begin to leak when it cools. So it might not be advisable... and it is debatable...
