baseboard heat gurlgeling

Anyone have suggestions about reducing/eliminating gurgeling in baseboard? I have an oil boiler, and the heat seems to be working good. Just a lot of noise. It ia a one-level house if that matters. I bled all of the radiators, and only get water. I also bled the boiler, and got water right away. I did have to drain the boiler to do a repair recently .Thanks!

Yeah, I know, how?

What does the pressure gauge on the boiler read when the boiler is cold? and again when the boiler is HOT?

What type of air elimination devices, other than the bleeders, are on your system? Is there an air separator? an automatic air vent? etc...

What type of expansion tank do you have? Is it the type that looks like a propane tank from a gas grille? or a large steel tank strapped to the joists above the boiler?

Pictures might answer all these questions, and give us something to talk about...

Aquastat control problem/situation

I have (or had) boiler with DHW heater. Past April, when I bought the property, I 'detached' DHW heating system from the boiler after installing electric water heater. Now, the cold weather being near, the boiler would not heat up, or continue running. Currently, Low limit is set to 160, High limit is set to 180, diferential is set to 20 on Aquatat. When I turned up the thermostat(calling for heat) and press the reset button, the burner will be on for about 15 minutes and turns itself off and won't turn on unless I press reset button again. The circulator appears to be working because I hear 'humming' noise and water running noise after the burner is off. Can anyone share with experience(s) as to how I can 'fix' this boiler/situation? ok, so here I am... got to replace my boiler and have 3 questions about the piping. 1. I'm installing 3 zone circulators and the plumbing supplier provided an additional circulator for the return. Is this 4th pump needed? 2 heating zones, one each floor, 1,100 Sq. ft., per. floor and the 3rd zone (new) for indirect tank for domestic hot water. Will the regular circulator pump on the return cause problems with pressure or cycling the water too fast thru the system? 2. Placement of the cold water feed to the boiler. I have found schematics showing both ways with the pressure reg./fill and isolation valve set up going to the air separator/expansion tank location on supply side and also showing another schematic indicating the return line/side of boiler. Is there a difference? Most I have seen are on supply side, but it makes sense somewhat to me to bring cold water to the return side. Anyway, not sure, so I'm asking :) 3. My current set up does not have it piped like this but it's all coming out and being piped new, but all the schematics I have found show a Thermatic regulation(?) by connecting the supply and return loops together not spaced more than 12" apart? I don't know what this is and is it necessary? Do you put a valve in between to isolate the sides? In other words, the piping schematic shows basically an entire loop in the heat piping with a T to supply side and a T to return side of the boiler? Does the water find its own way?
